Es una de las ocho propuestas de arte de índole pública e intervenciones urbanas desarrolladas para Kumzitz: un proyecto experimental colaborativo entre Berlín, Jerusalem y Cracovia curado por Curatorial Collective 4 Public Art que se llevó a cabo en el marco del 30 Festival Judío de Cultura de Cracovia 2021.
Sit with me • Your own Kraków • Souvenirs 4 free! es una performance de dibujo en vivo donde el visitante se transforma en colaborador del proyecto tan sólo con enviar una foto del lugar de Cracovia que personalmente sea mas significativo para él y contar a través de una conversación privada, su historia personal con ese lugar.
El visitante desde la Estación Cracovia en Hevre Kazimierz estará conectado por una video-llamada con el artista en la Estación Leipzig, quien estará dibujando el lugar en cuestión. Simultáneamente el proceso de dibujo y pintura se puede seguir en vivo en un live streaming en YouTube que se transmitió durante cada sesión. Al finalizar la sesión, el trabajo original fue enviado por correo certificado al colaborador, quien recibió un souvenir personal de su Cracovia íntima.
Concepto:
El proyecto es una combinación de dos factores para producir una obra de arte: 1. La técnica (el dibujo, el croquis y el color). 2. El significado de la imagen que se está retratando, el aporte del visitante, desde ahora colaborador. Con esos factores combinados, se obtiene un resultado colaborativo y significativo. La idea es trabajar a través de los recuerdos de los demás con una interpretación personal, mis manos y técnica, y traducirlos del mundo digital / conceptual al mundo analógico, sobre una hoja de papel que podamos tocar y envejecerá con el tiempo.
Es desarrollar una breve relación entre el artista y el visitante, quienes son compañeros de trabajo por un corto período de tiempo, hablando abiertamente sobre este lugar u otros temas que puedan surgir espontaneamente.
La motivación de este proyecto es poder explorar lo que es importante para el otro e intentar comprenderlo desde su punto de vista. Extraños con diferentes orígenes tienen que elegir un momento para generar un souvenir de él. Las historias detrás de las imágenes, son el tesoro del proyecto y también son su secreto, la pintura es el testimonio de este breve pero intenso momento.
El artista es conceptualmente pasivo y técnicamente activo. El visitante todo lo contrario, solo tiene que elegir sabiamente la imagen y a nivel conceptual le dará significado a todo este proyecto. Puede hablar libremente y esperar hasta que la obra esté terminada. Es por eso que el proyecto y sus dos partes son co dependientes. No funciona de modo individual, fomentando así la idea de trabajo colaborativo.
La idea principal de Kumzits (sentados juntos) significa un desarrollo y un acercamiento al significado del trabajo colaborativo. Dejar la puerta abierta a otros para que se sumen a proyectos de arte; extraños, personas al azar, que también tienen cosas que decir y compartir, y complementar así con sus experiencias y vidas personales la obra, con el fin de enriquecerlas a través del proceso creativo conjunto.
Una experiencia de comunidad, un gran vecindario donde se puede trabajar con otros y desarrollar mejores relaciones entre tú y tu vecino, tal vez simplemente dando regalos que sean significativos, hechos por otra persona de la comunidad especialmente para ellos.

ENIntroduction
It is one of the eight public art proposals and urban interventions developed for #Kumzitz: a collaborative experimental project between Berlin, Jerusalem and Krakow curated by Curatorial Collective 4 Public Art that took place within the framework of the 30th Krakow Jewish Culture Festival 2021.
Sit with me • Your own Krakow • Souvenirs 4 free! is a live drawing performance where the visitor became a collaborator of the project just by sending a photo of the place in Krakow that is personally most meaningful to him and telling through a private conversation his personal history with that place.
The visitor from Krakow Station at Hevre Kazimierz will be connected by a video call with the artist at Leipzig Station, who will be drawing the place in question. Simultaneously, the drawing and painting process can be followed live in a live streaming on YouTube that will be broadcast during each session. At the end of the session, the original work will be sent by certified mail to the collaborator, who had a personal memory of his intimate Krakow.
Concept
The project it is a combination of two factors to produce an artwork: 1. the technique (draw, sketch and paint). 2. the meaning of the picture who’s being painted, that is what brings the visitor, now collaborator. With those combined you get a meaningful collaborative result. The idea is to work through the memories from others with an interpretation of my own throughs, my hands and technique and translate them from digital / conceptual world into the analog world, into a piece of paper we can touch and will get old within time,
Developing a short relationship between the artist and the visitor, who are coworkers for a short period of time, talking openly about this place or other issues that can be interesting.
The motivation of this project is being able to explore what is important to others and try to understand from the other point of view. Strangers with different backgrounds have to choose one moment, to get a souvenir from it. The stories behind the pictures, are the treasure of the project and also his secret, the painting is the testimony of this short but intense moment.
The artist is conceptually passive and technically active. The visitor the opposite, just has to choose wisely conceptually, talk freely and wait until the artwork is done. That’s why the project and the two parts are codependent. Doesn’t work with just one.
The main idea of Kumzits “sitting together”, it means an approach to a collaborative work, it is a field that I find really interesting, and I want to keep developing. To let the door open to others to join art projects, strangers, random people, who also have things to say and share, and. complement with their personal experiences and lives in order to the enrichment of the artworks through the process.
An experience of community, a big neighborhood where you can work with others and develop better relations between you and you’re neighbor, maybe just giving gifts that are meaningful, made from another one of the community specially for them.
